Christians and NFTs - part 2

I have been connected. Or so I thought.... 🙃 But God!

As I’ve told you earlier, God lead me to a community with likeminded artists in the web3. I’ve contacted Bonnie right after the podcast episode I’ve heard. She was kind enough to invite me to the Twitter space that she has started months ago with the aim to gather together NFT artists who believe Jesus’s finished work for their lives.

It all has happened the day after I told my husband that I believe that Twitter is just going to be something I won’t be involved with as I did not have any reason to be there. I had our website, our Etsy store, our Instagram and Facebook accounts. I thought I am connected enough to do what God has called me to do. And I couldn’t be more wrong. 😅

I have made my account just in time to catch the Space - Christian NFT Lounge - and it was mindblowing in so many levels. I felt connected in the minute I have joined. My plan was just to listen in. But God! Again!

Bonnie invited me to tell my story and I’ve tried to be as short as possible. But then the others had questions and topics I could relate to and I joined in the conversation.

What I’ve experienced was true interest. And in a faceless but heartfelt conversation with people who I only met online couple of minutes before I felt welcomed and encouraged and wanted. I felt that I belong there. Because of who we all believe in. Because of Jesus!

Since that first lounge I’ve attended I became a part of a community. A community where I could face my insecurities to share what God had put on my heart. A community where we laugh and we pray and we show care and interest towards each other. A community which feels closer than any real life community I have been a part of in my 37 years on this planet.

I could be sad about it. Or you can feel sorry for me. Or you can even think that I’m exaggerating and overdramatizing my life and my relationships. But for me it is real. Real fellowship with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Real healing from wounds I’ve suffered while I was trying to serve others. Real care and dedicated time. Real understanding and enthusiasm. Real weeping and worship. Real church.

Yes! I dare to write it down, I dare to proclaim that Jesus’s presence can be more real in an online space among people from ALL OVER THE WORLD than in any other real life connections I’ve experienced before.

With a support system like ours I had the courage to re-edit and restart our website, relist all our products in our Etsy shop, and even take the opportunity what was offered to me by Matt Hogg to take part in an online event called #strongerdigital organized by the Stronger Network to talk about my journey in NFTs. I even have found a partner - Jay Chen from LightDao - to this segment through one of our DM groups on Twitter. And as Matt had put it in one of his follow up emails to us: it was only the beginning of a beginning meaning they want us back to help other Christians start their journeys in #web3 and in creating and using #NFTs.

And all have started with a single registration to a social media platform what I thought I would never be a part of.

Because God truly can reach us - and others through us - when we want to connect with Him only on the first place.
